Privacy policy

Driveflex Tours ("we") is an inbound tour operator based in Bandarawela, Sri Lanka. This policy explains what we do with your personal data. It applies to visitors from the European Union and United Kingdom, whose data is protected by the GDPR and UK GDPR regardless of where we are based.

What we collect

Only what you type into the trip brief or send us by email: your name, email address, the country you are travelling from, optionally a phone number, and the details of the trip you are planning — dates, number of travellers, children's ages, interests, comfort preferences and any notes you add.

We do not use cookies or any tracking that identifies you.Our analytics are aggregated and cookieless, our fonts are served from our own servers rather than Google's, and no advertising network receives anything about your visit. That is why this site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and plan your trip. That is the only reason. The lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the trip brief, and thereafter our legitimate interest in corresponding with you about a trip you asked us to plan.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

• Resend — delivers the emails between us. They process the contents of your enquiry in order to send it.
• Cloudflare — hosts this site and filters spam submissions.
• Hotels, drivers and park operators in Sri Lanka — only once you have booked, and only the details needed to make the booking: usually names and dates.

Because we operate in Sri Lanka, replying to you means your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 24 months. Booking records are kept for 7 years, which is what accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email[email protected] and we will action it within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be emailed.
